How billing system works

Doprax offers an easy-to-use payment system that allows you to add credit to your account. To effectively use Doprax’s services, like creating a virtual machine or an app space to deploy your apps, you must have credit in your account.

Here’s how the billing works:

  1. Flat Rate Charging: Services like Virtual Machines and App Spaces are charged a set rate for predefined resources (e.g. kind, RAM, CPU, disk space, monthly traffic). The flat rate ensures that you pay a consistent amount, regardless of workload.
  2. Per-Second Billing: We charge on a per-second basis. You are only charged for the real time your Virtual Machine or App Space is running. If you delete a VM or App Space, you will not be billed for it.
  3. Resource Usage Monitoring: Our system continuously monitors and analyzes your service resources usage, including CPU, memory, and network traffic. This data is used to calculate your charge accurately.
  4. Automatic Deductions: At each moment in time, your credit balance will be automatically deducted based on the resources used and the time your Virtual Machine or App Space was active.
  5. Low Credit Notifications: We send you notifications and emails when your credit balance is running low, allowing you to top up your account before it is depleted.

To get started, navigate to your billing page. There you’ll see three sections – Credit summary, Add Credit, and Previous payments.

Credit Summary Section

This section summarizes your credit in use. You’ll see how much credit you have left.

If you have any virtual machine running, the cost rate of the virtual machine per month, day, and hour will be displayed in the summary.

Add Credit Section

This is where you get to add credit to your Doprax account. Visit the add credit page to learn more.

Previous Payments Section

Whenever you add credit to your account, you can view the details of your payment. Simply scroll down to your ‘Previous payments’ section to see your payments history – the date, amount and currency.
